Description This article describes how to search for the files needed for a FortiAnalyzer device or VM.
Scope FortiAnalyzer VMs or physical appliances.
Solution

Pre-requisites:

  1. Identify the target version of the FortiAnalyzer's needs.

  1. Have an account registered with a FortiAnalyzer item.
    In this example, a FortiAnalyzer VM with target version 7.4.3 will be used as a reference.

  2. Login with an account already active on the support site.

  1. Identify the section of the product list that contains FortiAnalyzer items:

    Asset management -> Products -> Product List.

  1. After verifying the asset, continue selecting the software download in the Support menu.

    Support -> Firmware Download.

  1. Select the product (FortiAnalyzer) and the 'Download' option.

  1. Select the folder of the base version (in this example, v7.00).

  1. Continue selecting folders until the necessary version is reached.

    Note: The folder path changes to nested versions.

  1. When it is possible to reach the path where all files are listed, it will be necessary to identify the one that matches with the product: in this case, for a VM.

    Tip: Search with the browser tool by entering the current scenario.

  1. After finding the file, download it by selecting the HTTPS option.

Note: In this section, two files are similar. Only upgrade using the *.out file version.

The file *.out.ovf.zip is normally used to mount the entire image in the VM Hypervisor.

If the image for a physical device is needed, choose a specific file according to the FortiAnalyzer series.
