Description

This article describes how to generate a Throughput Utilization Billing Report in FortiAnalyzer. Applicable to FortiManager with FortiAnalyzer feature enabled.

Scope

FortiAnalyzer v7.0, v7.2, v7.4, and above.

Solution

  1. Log in to FortiAnalyzer from CLI and configure the following:

# config system log interface-stats
    set billing-report enable
    set status enable
end

There are more options available under the FortiAnalyzer interface-stats.

faz # conf sys log interface-stats
(interface-stats)# get
billing-report : enable
retention-days : 100
sampling-interval : 1200
status : enable

Note
The sampling interval is the interval at which data from FortiGates is received at the interface in seconds—Min 300 Max 86400 - Default 1200 (20 mins). Decreasing sampling interval might impact the FortiGate performance.

Before running this report, billing must be enabled for 24 hours or longer.
