Technical Tip: How to complete the backup strategy setup on FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager

Description

This article describes how the user can complete the backup strategy setup page when logging into the FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager GUI after a firmware upgrade.
Scope FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager v7.4.2.
Solution
  1. After upgrading to v7.4.2, the user will be prompted to with the backup strategy setup page after logging into the GUI.

  1. If the user does not have an existing automatic system backup configuration present, then they can just disable the automatic system backup option and proceed to complete the setup.

  1. If the user already has an existing backup configuration before the upgrade, the details will be displayed in the setup. Users can just proceed to hit the Next button to complete the setup.

  1. Once the setup has been completed,  the setup page will not be shown in subsequent logins.
