Solution |
1) First, back up the configuration.
2) Change the filename of the saved backup file from .dat to .tgz by renaming it:
3) Install Total Commander. 4) Edit Total Commander settings to use Notepad++ (or another text editor of choice) as the editor.
5) Open the backup .tgz file:
6) Edit the system.conf file.
7) Change the admin name and save the file found in the following location:
# config system admin user edit "admin1" set password "new_password"
8) Repack the system.conf file by closing the editor application.
9) Navigate to the .tgz root file:
10) Repack the .tgz file:
11) Change the config file extension back from .tgz to .dat by renaming it.
12. Reload the backup file in FortiManager or FortiAnalyzer:
