This article describes how to reinstall the firmware of a hardware device.
FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager.
Using a console cable to the FortiAnalyzer / FortiManager and proper software will provide access to the hardware device.
For additional information: Connecting to the FortiAnalyzer console.
Note: The TFTP server, required to transfer the firmware image, is often located on the same management PC used for the console access. In such cases, two cables are needed between FortiAnalyzer and the management PC - one RS232 console cable, with a DB9 or a RJ45 connector, depending on the hardware platform, and one regular Ethernet patch cable between the PC and the 'Image download port' of the FortiAnalyzer, as defined in the boot menu (PORT1 in the example below). It is not possible to transfer the firmware image via the console cable.
For example:
exec reboot
The system will be rebooted.

Stopping RAID ... OK
Please stand by while rebooting the system.
