Technical Tip: Displaying the FortiAnalyzer threat map

Description

The article describes that the FortiAnalyzer threat map is a feature that was introduced in FortiAnalyzer 5.4. This article explains how it can be configured and displayed.

Scope

Solution

To display the threat map, the FortiAnalyzer needs to know the geographical position of the FortiGates, so it needs to be given the latitude and longitude of their physical locations.

This can be configured in the GUI:

1. Select the appropriate ADOM.
2. Go to the device manager tab.
3. Edit the device for which the details are to be set.
4. Enter longitude and latitude.
5.  Save the changes.

After this, it should be possible to see information on the threat map.
