Description This article describes the issue when the All Report template page is blank in FortiAnalyzer (VM and Physical Environment).
Scope

When it is necessary to create a report, there is a list to select under Report -> All Report.

There are situations where the report list under 'All Report' is suddenly blank.

Solution

Several steps can solve it:

First, check if the FortiAnalyzer has been downgraded as it may lead to an empty report issue and if this is the case, proceed to a proper restore of the FortiAnalyzer. Then if this is not the case:

  1. Run the integrity check:

diagnose dvm check-integrity

  • After running this command, log out and log in again to check if the 'All Report' exists.
  • If not, proceed to the 2nd step:

  1. Clone the template as the below reference:

Creating reports from report templates

  • If the 2nd step did not solve the issue, go to the 3rd step:

  1. Import and export report as explained in the below documentation:

Importing and exporting reports

  • Request the TAC to export the template (based on firmware).
  • The export/import works only one-by-one report, meaning it will not be possible to select all the reports and import them at once (but it will be necessary to import each report separately).
  • If 3rd step did not resolve an issue, go to the 4th step.

  1. Create a New ADOM (that will create default reports), and move the device to this new ADOM. The historical log (archive), will be transferred when doing so it will be necessary to recreate the custom report in the new ADOM as well as the events and other related ADOM config.

  2. Missing reports might be a symptom of not following the upgrade path or an attempt to downgrade.  Either of those steps may result in the corruption of underlying databases.  If that is the case, a fresh install is recommended as outlined in the FortiAnalyzer upgrade guide under the section entitled 'Downgrading to previous firmware versions'.
