Description

 

This article describes how to resolve an issue where FortiAPs on FortiLAN Cloud show a 'Not Subscribed' Subscription Status even though they should have a license active.

 

Scope

 

FortiLAN Cloud.

FortiAPs managed through FortiLAN Cloud.

 

Solution

 

In this example, a FortiAP 231G being managed by FortiLAN Cloud is shown as 'Not Subscribed' on FortiLAN Cloud:

 

Subscription: Not SubscribedSubscription: Not Subscribed

 

Some features are disabled because of the mismatch on the license recognized by FortiLAN CloudSome features are disabled because of the mismatch on the license recognized by FortiLAN Cloud

 

Upon checking the same FortiAP registered on FortiCloud Asset, it is seen that the device must have a valid license and the status must be recognized as Subscribed:

FAP has a "FortiCloud FAP management and FortiPresence service" license validFAP has a "FortiCloud FAP management and FortiPresence service" license valid

 

Open a new ticket with the TAC team in order to process a SN recalculation with Customer Support Services.

 

Make sure to open the ticket with the serial number of one of the affected FortiAPs. It is recommended to include screenshots of the same content shown in this post and the URL used to access the information to ensure the ticket is processed more quickly.
