Description This article describes how to resolve an issue that users might face when unable to see the application data used by the user's Wifi on FortiGate GUI.
Scope FortiGate, FortiAP.
Solution

Tunnel mode SSID:

Enable Application control under the Firewall policy that is been created for tunnel SSID to reach the internet.

 

Go to Policy & Objects -> Firewall Policy and edit the Firewall policy.

In the Security Profiles section, enable Application Control.

Bridge mode SSID:

Enable Application control under the firewall policy that is been created for FortiAP, where the incoming interface is the FortiAP interface (physical or VLAN) and the destination is the Internet-facing interface.

Once enabling the above settings, it should be possible to see the application data.
