This article describes that sometimes, the default settings of iPhones might not be the best for WiFi. For instance, the standby mode on the phones might cause disconnections from the WLAN Network with FortiAPs
Apple IOS 13 and later.
FortiAP 6.0.0 and later.
Check and change the following settings on the iPhone:
1) Turn on auto-join and turn off Low Data Mode.
2) Go to Settings -> WiFi.
3) Touch the button 'More information' (i) besides the name of the network.

4) Turn on Auto-Join.
5) Turn off Low Data Mode.

6) Turn off WLAN Assist:
- Go to Settings -> Cellular.
- Scroll down and turn off WLAN Assist.

7) Turn on Location Services for Networking & Wireless:
- Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services.
- Turn it on
- Go to System Services.
- Scroll down to option Networking & Wireless.
- Turn on for Networking & Wireless. If it is already on, turn it off and then turn it on again.

8) Check for iOS updates.
If the issue does not resolve, open a new ticket on FortiCare. Make sure to send the following information:

# klog <----- This will enable real-time trace in the AP, keep it running for few minutes, till some of the client disconnect and connects back and then ctrl+c to stop the real-time trace.

# ifconfig
# iwconfig
# date
# cw_diag -c his-chutil
# cw_diag -c all-chutil
# fap-tech
