FortiAP devices are thin wireless access points (AP) supporting the latest Wi-Fi technologies (multi-user MIMO 802.11ac Wave 1 and Wave 2, 4x4), as well as 802.11n, 802.11AX , and the demand for plug and play deployment.
This article describes how to solve the issue where users cannot authenticate on an SSID using WPA3 for FortiAP-423E after upgrading FortiGate to version 7. x.x.

Solution
After the customer replaced the FortiGate-100D with a new FortiGate-60F and imported all configurations from FortiGate-100D, many clients (almost 100% Android) stopped authenticating on a SSID using WPA3 as authentication method. This devices can authenticate only on an SSID with WPA2 authentication.
There is a known issue. Open a new ticket on FortiCare to get the interim firmware that fixes this issue.
