Description

This article describes about the upgrading steps of FAP-U431/U433 from 6.21 to 6.2.2

Scope FAPU431/U433F version 6.2.1
Solution

Below are the steps: -

 

Step 1:  Ensure the FAP-U431F and FAP-U433F units are running FAP-U6.2.1GAbuild0237.

 

Step 2: Upgrade them to the special build FAP_U431F-v6-build4001-FORTINET.out and FAP_U433F-v6build4001-FORTINET.out respectively, which are available from the support site.

 

Step 3: Once upgraded to special build, Upgrade to the 6.2.2 GA build.

 

Note: It is important to upgrade from Special Build (b4001) to 6.2.2 build 0267 before attempting to upgrade to any other version. Otherwise, the upgrade will fail. After build 0267 is installed on the FortiAP, it will be possible to upgrade to any other version (6.2.3 to 7.0.x or above).
