Description

This article describes that Legacy FortiAPs do not come up after upgrading FortiGate to v7.X and above.

Scope

FortiAP series B, C, CR, S and D.

Solution

Note the following limitations when supporting old FortiAP hardware on newer FortiOS releases. FortiOS v7.0.x and v7.2.x have new strong crypto requirements: Strong cryptographic cipher requirements for FortiAP
Use the latest available GA for the product with this release. For FortiOS v7.4 these series are no longer supported, stick to v.x and v7.2.X: Remove WTP profiles for older FortiAP models
