FortiAP
FortiAP devices are thin wireless access points (AP) supporting the latest Wi-Fi technologies (multi-user MIMO 802.11ac Wave 1 and Wave 2, 4x4), as well as 802.11n, 802.11AX , and the demand for plug and play deployment.

Description
Fortinet has started using a new MAC address range for most of its products including all FortiAP models. The new OUI is 08:5B:0E. An incompatibility may exist with versions of the FortiAP software and the new MAC address range (08:5B:0E). The FortiAP v5.0 Patch Release 3 release notes explain how to identify the MAC address of a FortiAP unit.

Solution

FortiAP v5.0 Patch Release 3 is compatible with all FortiAP models regardless of the MAC address range that is coded on the unit. All FortiAP devices coded with OUI 08:5B:0E must use this software release or later.
