Technical Tip: How to export/import a certificate from FortiADC configuration

Description	This article describes how to retrieve certificate/key files from an existing FortiADC configuration.
Scope	FortiADC.
Solution	Download a backup file from System -> Settings -> Maintenance -> Backup & Restore. Unzip the file, then the 'config_file.tar'. Go inside the config file and the corresponding VDOM folder: config_file\home\backup_config_file\VDOM_NAME\local For example: config_file\home\backup_config_file\global\local All local certificates will be shown, along with their respective keys. Then, to import any certificate, go to System -> Manage certificates -> Import. Type 'Certificate' and select the .cer file for the certificate and the .csr file for the key. Note: This method applies only if the existing certificate was imported from the beginning with no password.
