Description This article describes how to resolve console errors that show 'kern.err kernel'.

Solution

If the FortiADC is not able to boot up, or is unable to upload the image via TFTP and shows the below error in the Console:

Collect the below logs under:

  • GUI -> Log & Report -> Log Browsing -> Event Log -> System -> Download.
  • GUI -> Log & Report -> Log Browsing -> Event Log -> Health Check-> Download.

Outputs of the following commands:


get system status
get system performance //run 3-4 times in 5 sec interval
diagnose sys top (Press CTrl+C to quit after 1 minute)
diagnose sys perf (Press Q to quit after 1 minute)
diag hardware get sysinfo df
diagnose crashlog list
fn dmesg
diagnose hardware get sysinfo df

System Debug logs under:

  • GUI -> System -> Debug -> System Debug -> Save Debug File

Try Rebooting the device. if it did not help, open a case with TAC and share the above collected logs.
