Description This article describes how to clear/reset the OSPF process or neighbor information/routes.
Scope FortiADC.
Solution

To clear the OSPF process on FortiADC, there is no straight command as of now. However, this is achievable by a workaround by Re-configuring area-id.

To perform this workaround, the area ID has to be changed to some unused dummy value and save the changes.

After saving changes, make changes to area-id again to the original value. The OSPF neighborship will be re-established.

Scenarios where this might be useful:

  1. Stuck Neighbors.
  2. Config change to cost/priority/area and make sure changes reflect.
  3. LSA issues.

Note:

This will bring the neighborship down for a few seconds and will lead to a temporary loss of routing, so this needs to be performed in Off-hours.
