Description This article describes how to confirm that the power supply has a hardware failure for FortiADC.
Scope FortiADC.
Solution

When an alarm appears in any of the two Power supplies, it is a good method to confirm if power supply failure or power slot failure.

Note:

Do the below procedure in a maintenance window due to the service being affected (FortiADC will be powered off).

  1.  Disconnect the FortiADC from the power electrical source.
  2.  Interchange the power supply from one slot to another:

  1.  Check if the alarm stays in the same slot or in the same power supply.
  2. Change it back and confirm.

With this method, it is possible to make sure if the issue is the power supply or power slot.

Beware that power supply, after removing and inserting it again into the same or different slot (hot swap), the alarm can disappear.
