Dear all,
in 2013 we bought a bundle of n.2000 Forticlient license for our Fortigate with about 1500€ (wow good price!)
Recently I was forced to upgrade the FortiOS from 5.2 to the last because otherwise I could not use the most recent access points (FG don't see them).
After upgrade the bad surprise, the License disappear (I see only the Free n.10)
I've open a support ticket and after some technical operation and some days them told me that these license is not valid for FortiOS > 5.4.
Now the new price for these license is about 20.000€
How is possible this behavior?
In the 2013 I bought the license for a Fortigate type not for a FortiOS so I expected these licenses to be valid as long as my Fortigate was officially supported.
It seems to me a reasoning of common sense, right?
There are someone that have a similar situation?
Many thanks
Simon
Hi,
I never faced this type of issue but It is recommended to contact your account manager (Partner or local Fortigate Sales team). He can suggest a better solution for the license. Do you really required repurchase or can he upgrade it free?
Regards,
Deepak Kumar
