Sure if you are planning to upgrade here's a temp link to the SD 8.5-2GA image.

meru-8.5-2build-5-MC4200.img.zip

You don't need to format the card (you can but there's no point) Just re-image it using this img file (extract from zip). Use an application such as winimage to write the image file to the compact flash disk.

Dear Sir,

If you do have meru-8.5-0build-6-MC4200 full os image, that is even better. I can upgrade to 8.5 but sometimes it says disk is full and pain to go through it.

I do have one more type controller with 7.0-8-0  MC3200 with AP320i. That is the most up to date for those.
If you do have full os image for 7.0-8-0-MC3200, please share.

When I format compact flash card, is it exFat or Fat32 is used?

Thank You So Much.
Regards,
CHAMI

Hi Chami,

Here's a temp link for SD 8.4-7.

meru-8.4-7build-3-MC4200.img.zip

If you have a backup you'll need the right version to restore it to. Alternatively, you can just dump in the parts of the config that are relevant via CLI. i.e. security profiles, ESS profiles, etc.

What model AP's do you have?

The latest versions of code i.e. System Director (SD) 7.0-13 and SD 8.4-1 no longer require AP licenses. This means the controller will natively support the maximum number of APs. i.e. 500 APs are supported on the MC4200.

If you are using older 802.11n access points (i.e. AP320i) i suggest using SD 7.0-13.

You can download the image for SD 7.0-13 here;

Please un-zip the image file before attempting to use it with an image tool. Download links above will expire on 30th June.

We also have a MC4200 and had a corrupt Compact Flash Card. We got it back up and going. But I cannot seem to locate the updates past 8.4-4build-8. We had 8.5 running before the Card crashed. All we need is the upgrade tar file. Thanks

Hello team,
Actually we are out of contract too. However, we really need the firmware for MC4200. But the download link provided in this thread seem to be expired. I there a way to get that version though. Thanks in advance.
