As an example, FortiGates protects organizations against the most recent wannacry ransomware that has taken the world by storm, with our proactive approach with automated updates to the IPS engine (protection offered before wannacry launch) and malware engine (protection offered at the day of wannacry launch).
For zero-day and advanced malware concerns, you may want to consider looking into FortiSandbox Cloud as a complement to FortiGates within your organization if not yet implemented. FortiSandbox is also offered as a physical appliance or VM.
