FortiEDR POC/ITF Request

With FortiEDR, it is not a traditional request for POC as a standard Fortinet ITF form.  Below, we go through the steps it takes to set up a FortiEDR POC.

POC Request Process

  1. Get Evaluation Request Form from your FortiEDR Overlay. The form will be prepopulated with EDR info, you will just need to fill in the customer info and get the customer sign off.
  2. Return Form to FortiEDR Overlay, he/she will submit the form to create a POC environment. This process normally takes 3-5 days, so please leave a week of lead time for all POC requests.
  3. Schedule the First call with the customer. This call normally takes 30 minutes.  We use this call as an opportunity to make sure the end-user can log into the console, and help deploy the first few agents and some additional housekeeping.
    1. Additionally, if the licenses are done a day or so before the scheduled first call, you can request your FortiEDR SE send the information to the end-user so they can begin deploying agents before the call
  4. Set up follow-up sessions as Necessary.

FortiEDR POCs are 30 days long and come with 25 server and 25 workstation licenses.  Exceptions can be made for active POC use cases and number of licenses, but note if the end-user requests and does not use the POC for the first month, the POC will not be extended.
