Fortinet is pleased to announce the availability of a new switch in its entry level 100 series Ethernet switching line the FortiSwitch 124F. This new hardware is the companion of the 148F launched earlier this year and introduces 10GE capable SFP+ uplinks, paired with 24 1GE access ports into our entry level platform. As with the 148F, the 124F joins the 124E which will continue to be offered for the foreseeable future as a complimentary option offering with 1GE SFP uplinks. The 148F also offers full PoE, partial PoE, and non-PoE models to address a variety of use cases.
The 100 series is our entry level FortiSwitch, offering competitive price performance for a variety of applications. It's layer 2 only functionality when paired with our industry leading FortiGate though FortiLink offers the most secure LAN Edge solution in the industry.
