Description

This article describes the process of creating traffic shaping and whitelisting Google Meet connections. This might be handy if there is disconnection or delays when using Google Meet.

Scope Any FortiOS version.
Solution

To begin, create a new Traffic Shaper in which we will prioritize all traffic going for Google Meet.

 

  1. Access the FortiGate, navigate to Policy and Objects, and select Traffic Shaping.
  2. Under the Traffic Shapers menu, select the option 'Create New'.
  3. Select the Google Meet application, and under the destination, select Google Services.

It is now possible to create a new firewall policy only for Google service using the ISDB:
