Description	This article describes the auto-start grace period policy of hardware bundle warranty and support contracts.
Scope	All Fortinet Products.
Solution	Hardware Bundle Warranty: Warranty Auto-Start Policy: (applicable to all hardware bundles) As per Fortinet's Warranty Start Policy, the hardware warranty auto-starts at the earlier of the following events: Device registration in the support portal. Initial ping from the device. Warranty auto starts after 60 days from the shipping date for the US/Canada and 90 days for the rest of the world. Contract AutoStart Policy: Service Contracts Attached to a Hardware Device: Contract auto starts after 60 days from the shipping date for the US/Canada and 90 days for the rest of the world. Service Contracts Not Attached to a Hardware Device: Contract auto starts after 60 days for all regions Professional Services and Training Contracts: Customers should register the contract within 365 days of the contract creation date. For a 12-month contract: Failing to register, the system will forfeit the entire 12-month period, and the contract will be deactivated. For Multi-year contract: Failing to register, the system will forfeit the first 12-month period, and the contract will auto-start on the 365th day.
