Description This article describes how to register support to both serial numbers in a legacy FortiGate HA cluster.
Scope FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer.
Solution
  1. Access the Fortinet Support Portal: Log in to the Fortinet Support Portal using credentials.
  2. Register Each Device: Navigate to the product registration section. Register each FortiGate device in the HA cluster separately using their respective serial numbers.
  3. Assign Support Contracts: Once registered, assign the appropriate support contracts to each device. Ensure that both devices have valid support contracts to maintain HA functionality.
  4. Verify Registration: After registration, verify that both devices are listed under the account with active support contracts.
  5. Check in FortiGate GUI: On the primary FortiGate device, check the GUI to ensure that the support information is correctly displayed for both the primary and secondary devices.
