Community Tip: Searching, Filtering and Navigating the Community Site

Description	This article describes how to search, filter and navigate within the Community Site.
Scope	Community users.
Solution	Community Searching: Navigate to the Fortinet Community site.  Enter a query in the search bar and select the Search button. Use natural language or keywords for the search similar to traditional search engines. Do not use punctuation or a plus (+) between search terms. Use quotation marks to search for an exact phrase. The results are organized under 6 possible tabs. These tabs only appear if they contain results for a particular search. All Content: contains all results under a single tab. Note: All filters appear under this tab but they apply to only select result types. Community: contains Community Knowledge Base Articles, and Forum Posts. Blogs: contains Fortinet blogs. Docs: contains documents from the Fortinet Document Library. Cyber Glossary: contains documents from the Fortinet Products page. Select the appropriate tab to filter results: Note: The available filters depend on the tab selected. Certain filters only appear under certain tabs. The maximum number of filter options under each Filter section is 9. Select Show More under a filter to see the full list. Community Advanced Search: After running the initial search, select Advanced Search for more searching options. Note: Advanced Search filters the initial results. It does not run an entirely new search. Enter terms in the appropriate Advances Search box. With the exact phrase: Filters the search to only those results containing the exact terms in the exact order entered. With one or more words: Filters the search to only those results containing the terms entered. Without the words: Filters the search to only those results that do not contain the terms entered.
