FortiGate 7060E
Fortinet is announcing FortiGate 7060E, the world’s first 100 Gbps NGFW chassis. The FG-7060E is the higher end 7000 series, offering the simplicity of an appliance with the modularity of a chassis. Targeted at cloud scale data centers that require NGFW and advanced security services delivered at blazing speeds, the FG-7060E offers 100 Gbps of NGFW throughput, 120 Gbps of IPS, 160 Gbps of Application Control, and 80 Gbps of Threat Protection throughput. Equally impressive in session scale, the FG-7060E supports 320 million concurrent sessions with 1.8 million new session rate.
FortiGate 3980E
Fortinet is also expanding our 3000 series family with the addition of the FortiGate 3980E enterprise firewall appliance. The 3980E delivers 1 Terabit per second of network firewall throughput and 470 Gbps of IPsec VPN throughput. Targeted at large scale data centers for securing massive volumes of network traffic or interconnecting data centers, the FG-3980E is ideally suited for large enterprises that need high network throughput and deep inspection delivered in a compact form factor to reduce footprint and operating costs.
Independent Testing and Validation of Performance
Both the FG-7060E and FG-3980E were subjected to rigorous testing by Ixia’s latest CloudStorm 100GE Application and Security Test Load Module, and independently validated to deliver 100 Gbps NGFW and 1 Tbps Firewall throughput respectively.
