Why fixed ip and not domain name?

Just got one of these boxes to evaluate.

I can think of one or two security reasons but why the mandatory fixed ip for any devices connecting to the FortiAnalyzer box?  It's a real pain when changing a log of devices to yet another IP address, and the same goes for the clients.

Is there something in the CLI to change this behaviour?
