Question

When I click the Configure VPN button, Forticlient closes.

I installed Windows 11 Enterprise on my computer (AMD Ryzen 7 7730U). I downloaded the latest version of the Forticlient-only VPN application and am running it as an administrator. My firewall is off. There shouldn't be anything blocking the application, so I'm sharing the error message with you. By the way, I can't open any files in the downloaded folder. I can only see text documents and logs. Could you please help?

I would suggest uninstalling the FortiClient VPN application with a tool such as RevoUninstaller (or something similar) to make sure all of the registry files are gone. Then rebooting the computer and attempting to reinstall again. If it's still happening you might want to see if you have any Microsoft Visual C++ updates to install.

Thank you for your support. I formatted my computer via USB, but the problem didn't go away. Finally, I installed Windows 11 from a CD, and the problem went away. I know this is an interesting problem, and I hope no one else encounters it.
