Question

What is the feature of Fortimail to prevent an Email from a Fake domain?

Hi all,

We just found some fake Emails sent from "@Microsoft.com" recently.

We also try to send an Email from

Emkei's Fake Mailer and simulate "BillGate@Microsoft.com" as the sender.

to our Exchange server.  - And just received it.

We are now looking for an Email gateway to help handle such Spam, and Fortimail is suggested.

Might I know if Fortimail can provide a feature to help resolve the above issue?

Hello

maybe you are talking about 'impersonation analysis'  , a licensed feature available as part of enterprise ATP bundle of licenses.

You could get more details in https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortimail/7.2.1/cookbook/221814/protecting-against-email-impersonation-in-fortimail

However
a well configured Fortimail with DKIM/DMARC/SPF records accordingly set will manage well  scenarios as you posted.

Impersonation analysis is something more related to avoid spear or whaling pishing, but you could consider it too  if you've the license.
