vSwitch for Lab and Exam Preparation

Hello,

I'm looking for a FortiSwitch image to run in a lab environment as to prepare for the NSE8 Lab exam especially that the exam is using vSwitch. However, I'm not able to locate any image for the switch that can work in VMWare Workstation or EVE-NG.

If anyone has been in similar situation, it would be great to hear how it was resolved.

AFAIK there is no publicly available FSW-VM image.

Your best bet is to try and find some old FortiSwitches for cheap.

Is there any difference between the physical and the virtual? Since the NSE8 Lab exam is based on vswitches

No difference in configuration syntax, no.
