Hello,

soon i have to upgrade an 200D 5.0.9 Active-Passive Cluster to 5.2.2 .

Should i realy follow the steps described in the HA Doc? like just push the upgrade on the Master unit and he will do all the job by himself?

what are your experience upgrading a cluster? should i better first upgrade Slave per FortiExplorer and after that upgrade the master ?

Thanks

Hello,

Just as patrick said, I can recommend following the documentation. I don't have two 200D's available now to build a cluster and check so I quickly tested it on FortiGate-VM with 5.0.9 cluster upgrade to 5.2.2 - everything went smoothly and few minutes later both VM's were upgraded.

I can also encourage you to go through all 5.2.x Release Notes and "What's New" documents here http://docs.fortinet.com/d/fortigate-whats-new-for-5.2 if you haven't done it already.

Hello,

just follow the suggested way! Upgrade the master and the upgrade of the slave will be done automatically.

I never had issues with upgrading Cluster.

Read the changes pdf and follow the upgrade instructions

Cheers, Patrick
