Question

Upgrade FortiOS 7.4.3 From FortiGate Cloud

Hello,

I'm trying to upgrade several FortiGate from FortiGate Cloud version 7.4.0/7.4.1/7.4.2 to 7.4.3. 

Upgrade is working fine to upgrade from 7.4.0 to 7.4.1.

Upgrade from 7.4.1/7.4.2 to 7.4.3 doesn't work with message expired.

 

My FortiGates are located in multiple countries (in Europe/Asia/Africa) and are online in FortiGate Cloud console.

If I connect directly the FortiGate with remote console I can upgrade firmware (I must manualy upload the firmware to the FortiGate).

 

Is anyone experimenting the same issue ?

We are having the same issue, are you using fortiguard for your DNS?

Hello,

No, we don't use fortiguard DNS, in major African and Asian countries latency is too high regarding other DNS services.

Hi @Claude_tdh,

 

FortiGate might fail to download the firmware image from FortiGuard servers due to connectivity issue or latency which is why you need to upload the file manually. Please make sure that FortiGates are able to reach FortiGuard servers.

    Hello @hbac,

     

    Thank you for your feedback, I have checked 4 FortiGate located in Bangladesh, Hungary, Egypt and Switzerlan. All can reach FortiGuard , but Upgrade doesn't work.

    Hi @Claude_tdh,

     

    I can confirm that I spoke with a fortinet rep and they are in the process of uploading the 7.4.3 image to be downloadable by fortiguard, no ETA as of yet.
