Hello,
I need a replacement for a cluster of 2 Fortigate 311B. Therefore I´d like to use the Fortigate 201E series.I´d like to replace the whole cluster with activated LACP and dual HA ports, i.e.
- imagine two 311B devices, each with:
[ul]
4x 1GbE interfaces (with LACP) to WAN4x 1GbE interaces (with LACP) to LAN2x HA ports connecting both units[/ul]- Looking at the 201E units, they have:
[ul]Only 1x HA port?Only 2x WAN ports?14x RJ45 ports4x SFP ports[/ul]So, my questions about FG201E would be:
[ul]Are those ports on the FG201E created equal?[ul]i.e.Can I use any of those ports for HA?Can I use any of those ports for WAN?Can I use any of those ports for LAN?[/ul]What about the following example configuration, would it be possible?[ul]For WAN: ports "WAN1" + "WAN2" + ports 1,2,3,4,5,6 (in LACP mode)For HA link: ports 7,8,9,10For LAN: ports: 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 (in LACP mode)[/ul][/ul]Kind Regards,
Michael
