update FortiClient EMS from 1.2.5 to 6.0.2

Hello,

I'm currently running on 1.2.5 version of FortiClient EMS and I would like to update it to 6.0.2. I was wondering if there was any procedure to follow to complete the update without major trouble ?

From 1.2.5 you can go directly to 6.0.2

Thanks a lot, I did the update and it went well until I tried to restore the database: the upload of the file is working but a few seconds after the upload, "6002" is showing up in red, looks like an error, I tried to search for it, but nothing came out… Nothing in the logs either. Only 50% of my database has returned. Have you got any idea ?

Hi,

This is the procedure i use when upgrading FortiClientEMS.

Rollout Plan: 1. Shutdown FortiClient EMS in VMware server 2. Take snapshot of FortiClient EMS Virtual Machine 3. Start FortiClient EMS Virtual Machine 4. Install FortiEMS v6.0.1 5. Verify that everything looks “ok” Backout Plan: 1. Shutdown FortiClient EMS in VMware server 2. Load the back snapshot of the VM that was taken before the upgrade for FortiEMS
