Unable to login on Fortiweb_Recover admin password without another "prof_admin" account profile

Hi Team,

I am currently facing an issue where I am unable to log in with any account created on FortiWeb. It consistently displays "Incorrect credentials." Since no "prof_admin" account is being accepted, I would like to recover the admin password without using a "prof_admin" account.

I have already tried the "maintainer" method, but it was unsuccessful.

Could you please assist me with this?

Thank you.

Following a quick search, the maintainer account has been removed since version 5.5. So I don't know any other method to recover other than a restore.

Other possibility for you (but more effort and longer downtime) is to use LLD document (hope you have it) to reset the box (or VM) and rebuild the configuration from scratch.

Hi

If you don't have any prof_admin user then you need to restore from a valid backup.

You can also edit the backup file in order to change the password before the restore, if needed.

Hi @AEK

Thank you for your prompt response.

Another issue: there is no backup available. Is there any other way to recover it without losing the configuration?
