I need to replace a FGT200B v5.2.13,build762 (GA) with a FGT 400D v6.4.9 build1966 (GA) but I can't find the option to add "device"
User and Device -> Device -> Device Definitions
present on the FGT200B
is it a device or firmware version problem for the FTG400D?
any suggestions about new hardware and firmware.

Hey itsunitelm,
you have jumped quite a few firmware versions between 5.2.13 and 6.4.9. There was a change in device management in 6.4, and I wrote a KB on that three years ago:

Basically, devices are treated as firewall addresses starting in 6.4, and you can create an address of type 'Device', instead of creating it under Users&Devices.
