Trunk Port and access Port

Hi All,

 

Below is my planning for my network structure, Currently i using fortigate 100d with firmware v5.2.2,build642 (GA), refer to my attach file, after i created the trunk port for my wireless access point for broadcast multiple SSID with different VLAN,  i unable to create other ports to access port, any one can guide me how to do this configuration?

They won't have any VLAN tags by default, you probably want to create a switch with those ports which can by done by Create New > Interface and then select switch as the "Type" and then select those ports as members.

Qs;

 

Does the  4x AP support 802.1q

 

Are you expecting to run each APs with the same SSID ( multiple SSIDs )

Hi Emnoc,

 

Yes, i want each APs broadcast multiple SSID, but i dont know how to configure trunk port and access port in fortigate, in this environment don't have any management switch.
