Hi @matsco ,

Is it an SSL VPN connection? And is it on one FGT? If yes, do you have access to the FGT?

yes, it is using SSL VPN connection. We are using the FortiClient VPN software to connect with the VPN, if you are referring this.

Hi @matsco ,

What I mean is where did you configure the SSL VPN?  On a FGT device or a third-party product?

Because we need to run debugs over there, not on FortiClient side.

Thank you for the tip!

If anyone else has the same problem, try installing the new VC++ Redist:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

Btw. I had to reinstall FortiClient VPN after installing the new VC++ Redistributable.

Are you using certificate authentication for your SSL VPN authentication method?

If so can you check in any of the local-in policies if you have virtual-patch enabled?

Since this is only affecting one machine, issue is most likely on endpoint side.

1. Uncheck any local proxy if any: Go to Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings and uncheck Use a proxy server for your LAN
2. Disable IPv6 in Network connection setting
3. Start > Device Manager > Network adapter, check if there is duplicated FCT SSLVPN adapter, or yellow ! exclamation mark (indicating errors), usually needs uninstall.
4. check if there is known problematic Windows Update KB installed on the PC: KB5013942, KB5018410, KB2693643
can run CMD command: wmic qfe list
If there is, need to uninstall them.

Also, kindly note than if your laptop is using ARM processor, it is not supported.
