I got it to work with 3.0. I may be wron, but as I understand it, Windows 7 UAC has been changed so the browser run without Administrative rights, even if you are logon as Administrator. The first time https is run on Fortigate, a fortissl Add-in is being added, and forti 3.0 OS must be requiring the browser to be Adminsitrator. I was able to make it work by running IEXplorer.exe with the Run AS administrator. Doing so, the add-in is added, and then you can used the Browser without the Run As and it wll work fine. It seems to be only at the time the Add-in is installed that it is required. Try it.

I' ve opened a ticket with Fortinet support. I' ll post any info I receive from them. I tried running IE as the administrator, but I still get the message " Error:Permission Denied" . Is there a configuration change in the FG SSL-VPN, or with the policies? In Windows 7 FortiClient SSL VPN 3.0.389 didn' t work; neith does 4.2073. I' ve tested my setup with Vista and XP to make sure I can connect. I' m running a 32-bit version of Win7; FortOS is 3.0 MR7 Patch6

In Vista, that error indicates that you must turn off UAC. Not sure about Win7.
