SSL VPN and new versions of Chrome depreciating NAPI plugins

Does anyone know if there is an alternative method being worked on for the web-based Fortigate SSL VPN since the current SSL VPN relies on the NAPI plugin for it to work? Safari works great, but Chorome is depreciating NAPI plugins and eventually disabling and blocking, and Firefox is expected to follow suit in the near future.

I looked up the SSL VPN Handbook, and sure enough, Chrome and most versions of Firefox are not supported. This is an excerpt from the book:

VPN Web-only Mode, supported operating systems and web browsers

Microsoft Windows 7 32-bit SP1

Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 8, 9, 10 and 11

Mozilla Firefox version 26

Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit SP1

Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 8, 9, 10 and 11

Mozilla Firefox version 26

Linux CentOS version 5.6

Mozilla Firefox version 5.6

Ubuntu version 12.0.4

Mac OS X v10.7 Lion

Apple Safari version 7

Other operating systems and web browsers may function correctly, but are not supported by Fortinet.

interesting question, but  the only supported browser per FTNT fortiOS ( web-mode ) has always been IE based & a few firefox versions iirc. All others are unsupported  browsers  are YMMV so use at your own risk.

Have you tried to contact support to get a affirmative answer? But chrome has never been a supported browser under any OS for web-mode.
