Question

Speed setting for WAN interface not changing to AUTO

I have a customer that recently upgraded their ISP service from 100M/100M to 200M. The ISP tells us to change the speed setting to AUTO for it to reflect the change.  I have issued the following command:

config system interface
    edit WAN2
        set speed auto
This  did change the result of the get hardware nic WAN2 command to show a speed_setting of 1000, but the actual Speed and Duplex are still at 100 Half and their overall bandwidth is capped at 100.  Is there another location that I need to adjust to make this pull the actual speeds from the provider?  I've rebooted in case that is needed to pull the changes but it had no effect on the bandwidth.

If the speed has been set properly to auto, then probably the remote device is negotiating 100 half.

Sometimes it also can be due to cable issue.
