Question

Spare unit in-sync?

Hi,

I'm planning on buying an extra 60E for each of our offices to keep as spare.

My idea was to run the spare as HA to keeping configuration in sync, and in case of problems with the master,do a manual switch.

Would that work? Also, one of the offices still uses a 60D, would this work with 60D as master and 60E as slave, or they need to be same the type of device?

regards,

Robin

Running a HA cluster, IMHO you cannot auto-sync and at the same time NOT failover automatically. I'm having a hard time thinking why you would want that. Just set up an active/passive cluster and you're good.

Cluster members need to be identical in hardware. The only exceptions are models with built-in SSD (FG-x1) which can be combined with the diskless model.
