SMTP MTA on the firewall itself

Hi,

Is it possible to install (any existing feature or service or script) to use the device itself as a tiny simple MTA to send its necessary emails without connecting to another MTA like exchange server or so?

 

This is possible on many devices and software.

    Unfortunately, FortiGate does not have the feature of an MTA. It is only a mail client where you will need to configure a mail server in order for alert mail to work.
