Secure Internet Access issue on hotspots

FortiSASE configuration

We have a handful of users who are unable to stay connected on the VPN while connected to iPhone hotspots. FortiClient will connect, then drop after a few minutes and then reconnect and again drop (loop behaviour).

The VPN is stable on fixed (non-mobile) network connections.

Anyone know why this happens or has a workaround?

You may try one of the following as troubleshooting steps, and even if it doesn't fix the issue it will provide more visibility.

In case your iPhone hotspot gives IPv6 address then try disable it and keep only IPv4
Did you try with Android hotspot with the same ISP? Is the behavior the same?
The ISP/mobile-operator can also occasion such error. Did you try with the same iPhone with 4G from another operator?
