Scheduled scan staggering for clients on shared storage?

Looking to deploy the FortiClient to about 50 servers all running on the same SAN and I'm a bit concerned about scheduled AV scans overloading said SAN. Is there a way to stagger scheduled scans over a given time frame or limit the number of clients in a group that can be running a scan at one time?

The only option I'm seeing in the documentation is to ugly up my Active Directory structure by adding a bunch of extra OUs, dividing up my servers among them, and then creating EMS profiles for each that scan on different days. Is that what I need to do?
