RMM managment of FortiSwitch through Fortilink

Can you monitor the up/down, CPU, mem, and port status of a Fortiswitch from a third party tool once it has been setup on a Fortilink? I can't seem to discover the IP address given to it by the Fortilink DHCP, I can't ping it, it will not answer to SNMP, nothing?  It is as if it doesn't exist except between the Fortigate and the switch.
