Reviewing Administrator Changes on the FMG

Hello, everyone.

I have an FG+FMG+FAZ environment in my infrastructure.

I need to know if an FMG administrator (for example: admin01) has made configuration changes to “static routes” on the FMG.

Is it possible to see this from the FMG itself?

In which section could I view these changes? Is it possible to see them in the FMG’s “Event Logs” using a specific filter?

Thank you for your comments.

yes, you can check this directly on fortimanager.

    first check:

    system settings > event log

filter by the administrator, for example “admin01”, and look for configuration change events related to the affected device.

    docs:
    https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortimanager/7.2.0/administration-guide/762822/event-log

to confirm exactly what changed, also check the device revision history and use “revision diff” .

    docs:
    https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortimanager/7.4.8/administration-guide/871900/viewing-configuration-revision-history

i would also check “view install log”, especially if you want to confirm whether the static route change was actually pushed to the fortigate.

    Hi,
Do you have any “specific” filters that I can apply to the FMG “Event Logs” that you could recommend—ones that focus on “changes/creations” of static routes?

    Thanks :)
