Question

Retrieve Username from IP and Port: FortiAuth API

Hi,

I have read all the documentation on the FortiAuthenticator REST API:

https://docs.fortinet.com/uploaded/files/3858/FortiAuthenticator%205.0%20REST%20API%20Solution%20Guide.pdf

I could not find a way to query the API with 2 parameters: The IP address of the remote client and the remote PORT of the client. That would hopefully return the username.

This seems so simple!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

All client machines are running FortiClient.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Roger

Any ideas anyone?

It is simply unbelievable that Fortinet could build a great product, but could not add this BASIC functionality; because of this, I still think there is a way.

--or--

Do I seriously have to build a bot that logs in and grabs data off the UI?

Thank you,

Roger
